Ultra-Synergist E provides a broad spectrum of mixed tocopherols with high alpha and gamma fractions.
Uses For Ultra-Synergist E
Antioxidant Support: One study suggested that both alpha and gamma tocopherols promoted superoxide dismutase activity in plasma and vascular tissue. Multiple studies indicate that both fractions offer antioxidant support for lipid membranes, helping to protect their structural integrity.*
Prostate Health: A case-control study reported that high intake of gamma tocopherol was positively associated with prostate health, while another study indicated that d-alpha tocopherol supports prostate health. It has been suggested that the presence of gamma tocopherol may optimize the effects of alpha tocopherol.*
Cardiovascular Function: A clinical trial revealed that a mixture of alpha, gamma and delta isomers was more effective than any single tocopherol in promoting healthy platelet function. One study suggested that gamma tocopherol modulates some aspects of nitric oxide metabolism and another reported that both alpha and gamma tocopherols support arterial smooth muscle cells. Additionally, an in vitro investigation of human macrophage and epithelial cells, gamma tocopherol supported healthy prostaglandin metabolism.*
